human-centered AI interface

Let’s throw the better AI party.

The big techs in the US and China are racing for the most powerful model, the biggest data centres, the most power plants. Who’s got the biggest… IPO, the biggest rocket, the most satellites?

Where’s the race to make AI safe, sustainable and good for people — so it serves us rather than turning us into raw-material suppliers of data and value? In that race we’re mostly the commodity: our data and our output flow away, and Europe largely watches, dependent on infrastructure it doesn’t own.

Who’s looking for ways to take charge? When we started a few months ago, we couldn’t believe nobody was building an interface that makes AI honest, frugal and human. We thought someone would launch it next week. To this day: nothing.

discode was founded to build human-centered solutions — independent of the big AI labs and big techs and their interests. Designed from the outside. Understood from the inside.

Yet what’s truly scarce is shifting. When there are soon not 100 but 1,000 models, intelligence won’t be the rare good — the human layer in front of it will be: the one that lets you decide instead of the algorithm. Whoever builds it determines whether AI serves us or extracts from us. That race hasn’t started yet.

So we’re starting. discode is the first brushstroke, not the finished painting: today a chat that guides you honestly through the models, tomorrow the layer that stands between you and a thousand AIs. Version 0.1, with gaps, but with a clear direction. From Europe — and yes, still small.

We want to be the lab and the playground for human-centered AI, and the first to open a race that’s been missing: for the good, the responsible, the people-first AI. Call it a sprint, call it a party — as long as the models finally dance to your music.

You choose the rhythm, not the algorithm.
